Aaron Ekins and Zane DeVault of the Icicles
Although they’ve been in the band for over a year now, we have neglected to introduce our “newest” band members Zane DeVault (drums) and Aaron Ekins (bass guitar). We thought it might be interesting to have them tell you a little about themselves: Read more »
The Icicles have been hiding out a bit as of late. We’ve been in the studio working hard recording our upcoming album Renegade Parade (a series of three EPs). We’ve got some initial tracks down and are starting to mix the tracks. By spring we should have a better idea of when the series will be released. We hope to have a “sneak peak” of a track or two on the website for you to preview. That should be up in a month or so.

We’ve just received some awesome press! Grand Valley State University, the alma mater of Gretchen, Joleen, Rebecca and founding drummer Korrie as well as Emily’s current home away from home, has written an article about the band. Check it out: Grand Valley Alumni Magazine.
Wow, this year is just flying by so far. I can’t believe we haven’t updated anything since December! We are working hard on new songs and hope to be back in the studio recording something by the end of the summer. While we’re busy recording we’re not playing a lot of shows but we had a few offers we just couldn’t say no to. We will be playing at Les Tassel Parkin Cascade, MI on June 26th, its an outdoor, all ages, free show. We’ll have more details as soon as we can and we’ll update our shows page. Read more »
I think we’ve finally recovered! Its been a few weeks since we got back from England and we are totally wishing we could head back. We had such a great time and we met so many wonderful people who made our tour one to remember. We have some pictures up if you want to see them, you can click here or go to our photos page. We don’t have any plans for the rest of the year other then enjoying the holidays, but check back with us early in the new year since we’re working on finalizing a few events in Grand Rapids.
